 The Institute of Engineering & Rural Technology, Prayagraj has officially published the Information Brochure for the IERT Entrance Examination 2026. Established in 1955, IERT holds the distinction of being Asia’s first polytechnic institute and operates with approval from All India Council for Technical Education while being recognized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

The institute offers a wide range of professional programs, including a 3-year Engineering Diploma across 13 specializations, a 2-year Management Diploma in 3 streams, and a 1.5-year Post Diploma in Computer Applications. Admissions to these courses are granted strictly on the basis of performance in the entrance examination.

Primarily, candidates belonging to Uttar Pradesh are eligible to apply. However, applicants from other states may also be considered for admission if seats remain vacant after accommodating eligible candidates from Uttar Pradesh.
