 The Directorate General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), functioning under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has issued a combined recruitment notification (Advt. No. 524/RC/SSB/Combined Advt./CT to SI (Non-GD)/2025) to fill a total of 233 vacancies. The recruitment drive includes posts such as Head Constable (Steward), Head Constable (Communication), Head Constable (Electrician), and Head Constable (Veterinary) under Group-C, Non-Gazetted (Combatised) and Non-Ministerial categories. All positions are temporary in nature; however, selected candidates may be posted anywhere across India or even outside the country based on service requirements. Selection Process
  • Stage I : Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
  • Stage II : Written Examination – CBT (150 Marks, 3 Hours) | Part-I: 50 Marks (GK, Maths, Reasoning, English/Hindi) | Part-II: 100 Marks (Technical Subject)
  • Stage III : Skill Test (For Head Constable Electrician Only)
  • Stage IV : Document Verification (DV) + Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME)
