Age Limit & Mandatory Eligibility Criteria
- Mandatory Eligibility: Candidates must possess a valid scorecard of UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET 2025) with positive scores.
- Age Limits (As on 01/07/2026): Minimum Age is 18 Years and Maximum Age is 40 Years. Category upper age relaxations are extra as per rules.

- Must have passed Intermediate (10+2 Exam) from the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh or any equivalent recognized board.
- Preferential Weightage: Minimum 2 years service in the Territorial Army OR holding an NCC ‘B’ certificate will give preference in case of tie-breakers.
- Must qualify mandatory Physical Measurement Standards (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET).

Physical Standards & Efficiency Requirements
- Male Candidates Measurements: Height must be minimum 167.6 cm. Chest size must be 80 cm without expansion and 85 cm after expansion (minimum 5 cm expansion required).
- Female Candidates Measurements: Weight must be at least 45 kg. Height for General category must be 152 cm and for SC/ST category must be 147 cm.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET Race): Men must finish a 4.8 km race within 25 minutes. Women must finish a 2.4 km race within 14 minutes. This test is qualifying in nature.

UPSSSC Written Main Examination Scheme & Pattern
- The written main test will be held in a single shift consisting of 100 multiple choice questions for a total time of 120 minutes (2 Hours). Each question holds 1 mark.
- Negative Marking: 25% (1/4 part) of the assigned mark will be deducted for every wrong answer submitted.

- Data Interpretation – Charts & Graphs (10 Questions)
- UP Excise Acts, molasses, alcohol laws & Excise Policy 2025-26 (10 Questions)
- Part 2: Computers & IT Knowledge (15 Questions / 15 Marks): Concepts of hardware, software, internet, email tools, cyber security basics, and upcoming tech skills (AI, IoT, Big Data).
- Part 3: General Information of Uttar Pradesh State (20 Questions / 20 Marks): Comprehensive evaluation of UP history, language, polity, geography, wildlife, minerals, culture, and achievements.

How To Apply Online for UPSSSC Excise Constable Form
- Visit the official website of UPSSSC (https://upsssc.gov.in).
- Log in on the applicant module by authenticating your PET 2025 Registration Number via personal inputs or registered Mobile/Email OTP.
- Verify your automated recorded PET details, select the respective Excise Constable post, and add explicit educational credentials (10+2 details).
- Check your verified PET photograph and signature files, tick the mandatory checkbox agreements, and confirm the code submission.
- Complete the online processing fee payment of Rs. 25/- through credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI portals. Save the final application page printout safely.
