The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for Agniveervayu (Musician) Intake 01/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. Online applications are invited from unmarried male and female candidates from across India who aspire to join the Indian Air Force as musicians. The online registration process will commence on 20 July 2026 at 11:00 AM and remain open until 02 August 2026 at 11:00 PM. The recruitment rally is scheduled to be conducted from 31 August 2026 to 09 September 2026 at designated Air Force stations in New Delhi and Bengaluru. Age Limit & Marital Status Eligibility

Date of Birth: Candidates born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 are eligible to apply.
Maximum Age Limit : The upper age limit as on the exact date of enrolment should be 22 years.
Marital Status Condition : Only unmarried male and female candidates can apply. They must undertake not to marry during the 4 years of the engagement tenure. Female candidates must also undertake not to get pregnant during this period.

Mandatory Music Skills & Experience Certificate

Agniveervayu (Musician)

Must have passed Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent with minimum pass marks from any recognized board.

Musical Ability: Proficiency in playing any one instrument with pitch and tempo accuracy from the list (Concert Flute, Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Keyboard, Guitar, Violin, Drums, or Indian Classical Instruments). Ability to tune individual instruments and sing complete songs.
Required Certificate (Any One):
Grade 5 or above in one instrument from a recognized music institute (TCL, RSM, KM Music Conservatory, etc.).
Diploma or equivalent in Hindustani / Carnatic Classical Music from a recognized university.
Certificate of participation/awards at various events along with staff notation performance capacity.

Agniveervayu Musician Selection Procedure & PFT Scheme

Physical Fitness Test Part-1 (PFT-I) : Candidates must complete a 1.6 Km run. Male candidates within 7 minutes and Female candidates within 8 minutes.
Physical Fitness Test Part-2 (PFT-II) : For qualified runners. Males need 10 Push-ups (1 min), 10 Sit-ups (1 min), and 20 Squats (1 min). Females need 10 Sit-ups (1.5 min) and 15 Squats (1 min).
English Written Test : Objective exam matching 10th CBSE syllabus, consisting of 30 questions. Testing time is 30 minutes. Qualifying in this paper is mandatory. No negative markings applied.
Music Proficiency Test (MPT) : Practical assessment in playing instruments individually or in a group.
Medical Appointments : Baseline investigations including Blood, Urine, Biochemistry tests, Chest X-Ray, and ECG to finalize medical fitness parameters.

How to Apply

Candidates have to submit their online registration form through the official web portal address link at https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in.
Step-1 (Sign-Up): Enter personal baseline information along with an active email ID and mobile number. Generate and verify unique OTPs sent to your contacts to create user credentials.
Step-2 (Form Fill-up): Log in again and completely enter additional personal parameters, education records, and select two rally center venue choices in order of preference.
Step-3 (Document Upload): Upload high-quality specified scanned images including candidate’s Signature (80-150 KB), Parent’s Signature if applicant is below 18 years, Left Thumb Impression (50-100 KB), and a fresh passport photo (100-200 KB) holding a black slate across the chest with candidate name and date of photo written in white chalk. Real-time live image capture through web camera tracking is also mandatory.
Step-4 (Fee Payment): Pay the non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 100/- plus 18% GST online via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, or UPI.
Verify all blocks inside the preview screen carefully before final submit. Save a printed confirmation copy along with the Provisional Admit Card in color print format. Bring your physical instruments to the rally venue.
