 The State Bank of India (SBI), through its Central Recruitment & Promotion Department (CRPD), has released the official notification for Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO) Recruitment 2026 on a regular basis. A total of 47 vacancies have been announced for the posts of Assistant Manager (Law) and Deputy Manager (Law). Eligible candidates holding a degree in Law can submit their online applications from 24 June 2026 to 14 July 2026. Selection Pattern, Exam Scheme & Weightage Metrics
  • Selection Structure Process : The recruitment evaluation relies strictly on an Online Written Test followed by a face-to-face Interview round. Final selection weightage tracks 70% for the Written Test and 30% for the Interview.
  • Objective Test Layout : Spans a single test panel across multiple subjects (100 Marks) paired with an independent Subject Knowledge assessment (100 Marks). Correct answers fetch 1 mark. Explicit negative marking is active; 0.25 marks shall be deducted for every incorrect response marked. Normalization techniques apply across multiple shift panels.
  • Minimum Passing Benchmarks : Minimum qualifying score is established at 50% marks for Unreserved applicants and 40% marks for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD candidates.

  • Applications must be processed online through the portal at sbi.co.in from 24 June 2026 until the final deadline of 14 July 2026. Duplicate entries will face cancellation.
  • Photograph Specifications : Upload a recent passport-size color photograph (captured within one month before registration) sized between 20 KB to 50 KB in JPG/JPEG formats. Candidates wearing dark glasses or caps face direct profile rejection.
  • Signature Specifications : The candidate must sign on plain white paper using a black ink pen. Scan and upload only the cropped signature zone (Size window: 10 KB to 20 KB in JPG/JPEG format). English capital letters are strictly invalid.
  • Experience Certification Framework : Experience claims must be documented on proper organizational letterheads bearing an official date of issue, structural designation, specific timeline windows, breakdown of duties, and administrative seals. Unsigned slips or plain consolidated pay structures are invalid.
  • Government Employee Channel : Applicants currently working in Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or Autonomous Bodies must upload a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) alongside vigilance clearance at the time of interview.
