BPSSC Bihar Police SI 2026 Selection Process & Exam Scheme
|
- Scrutiny of Forms: Validation of online submissions for preliminary shortlist.
- Preliminary Written Exam (Objective): Contains 100 questions of 200 marks (Duration: 2 hours). Topics include English, General Knowledge, Hindi, Reasoning, and Current Affairs. Minimum qualifying limit is 30% marks.
- Main Written Exam:• Paper I (Objective): 200 questions, 200 marks, 3 hours duration. Subjects: General Studies, Maths, Reasoning, English, Hindi, and Bihar GK. Negative marking of 0.25 for incorrect answers applies.• Paper II (Subjective): 50 marks, 1 hour duration. Includes Hindi/English Essays, Precis writing, and Translation.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Measurement: Testing parameters for Height, Chest (for males), and Weight (for females). This stage is purely qualifying.
- Merit List: Formulated based on scores acquired in the Main Written Examination (Ties resolved by Age/Education criteria).
- Medical & Character Verification: Final clearing check before appointment. Stammering/lisping conditions or active criminal involvements are reasons for disqualification.
